What Does God Really Think About . . . ?

Human Cloning? War? Church Denominations? The Internet? Dating? Human Suffering? Cultural Relevance? Homosexuals? Megachurches?

There are a lot of issues and elements of 21st century life that aren't directly addressed by Jesus or the Bible. But that only makes sense. What on earth would John or Paul or any other Biblical author have thought if Jesus had shown them the internet? Even if they saw it, how could they possiblity have described it to a 1st century audience? The short answer is, they couldn't.

If Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, then his message and his teachings apply today. So how do we apply His message and teachings to the issues of today?

Over the next several months, Quest is going to take on a number of these controversial issues from today, and see if together we can determine what God thinks about them. If you are in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, I invite you to join us on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. to discuss these topics. We encourage you to bring an opinion to share, and an open mind to hear the opinions of others.

After the Tuesday night discussions are over, I will be posting some of the highlights here. I encourage you to continue the discussion here. And if you couldn't join us on Tuesday, this will allow you to weigh in on the subject.

I hope that you are able to join our quest, to see if we can discover what God really thinks about the issues that are important to us today.
