Recommended Reading

I've been remiss the last week or so in adding updates to the Quest blog.

A week ago we talked about several books that I strongly recommend, and I said that I would give the details about them here. So here you go.

Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. Rob Bell is the pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville, Michigan. His book is based on the idea that we, as follower of Christ, should question everything. He takes a questioning look at a lot of things that Christians have traditionally thought and beleived.

Adventures in Missing the Point by Brian McLaren and Tony Campolo. Another book that takes a fresh look at some of the traditional thoughts and teachings of the Christians.

Chasing Daylight, The Barbarian Way and Stand Against the Wind by Erwin McManus. Erwin McManus is the pastor of Mosaic, in Los Angeles. He is one of my favorite authors and speakers. He challenges Christians to change the way that they think about and interact with the world around them so that they can become the most effective followers of Christ that they can be.

The Out of Bound Church by Steve Taylor. Steve Taylor is the pastor of Opawa Baptist Church in Christchurch, New Zealand. You can read my full review below.

I'll keep adding to this reading list as I find more books that impact my life.

I should/want/need to read all those books, lol. No seriously, I'm a Youh Min Major, and a Youth Leader at my church, anything and everything that is helpful and beneficial I want to ingest and have logged so I have the possibility of using it later.
